It always amazes me how Griffey is always taken so late in these drafts. His stats definitely didn't translate well to WiS. Although, personally I consider him to be extremely overrated, on some lists I see him regarded as a top 5 player of all time, and I wouldn't even consider him a top 5 CF of all time. However for him to go usually around pick 400-500 really shocks people who I tell about this draft!

I just used 98 Griffey in the last round of juice's tournament as I has the 98 Mariners as one of my teams.. I just looked it up and he was the most expensive hitter on my team and finished 8th in OPS (.698). I agree he often doesn't do well in the sim.
