I think this is the correct answer. When you say "I won't use anyone with .......", you close the door on some good, or at least useful, players. Of course, if the pitcher can be found in training camp, he sucks.

Not so much. His career stats are nothing special and, when you factor in his time in Wichita, his nothing special stats are less special.

Pitches, splits, Gb/FB ratio. My top 3 but that doesn't mean I'll take a 15 control. But I've had very good success with control under 60.

Anyone that says they need a minimum in a certain category is being short sighted.
