OK ... you guys obviously misunderstood me.

1. The fact that some games where simulated very late in the 2 game worlds, especially if it does not get fixed quickly, is not a good thing. It actually absolutely sucks. I even think for those worlds, a free season is in order.

2. My comments concerning free game credits (and being against them) was for every world running the new engine, because of the new engine specifically. The late running of games for the 2 games a day world is a separate issue.

I do believe that the 2 game a day worlds have been significantly impacted.

I don't think that there has been a major advantage given to a significant portion of the world over another portion of the world though. When I think of unfair I think of something that gives one group a major advantage. I do see that some people might not be able to plan and others can. I see it though that most people are unable to plan for the second game. Which is why, if it is not corrected soon, I can see the 2 game a day worlds as deserving a free season.

For the 1 game per day worlds, I don't see it as a major problem at all, but a minor inconvenience.

That's a fair point of view, but we didn't "misunderstand you." You unequivocally said "it's not unfair" multiple times. If you're changing your opinion now with regard to the two-a-day worlds, great, but don't put it on us.

isack, you must be kinda slow. He's still saying it's not unfair. Which it isn't. As long as everyone is playing within the same parameters, the playing field is level in that regard and IT IS NOT UNFAIR. That doesn't make it right. Hitler persecuted specific groups of people. That was unfair. The Russian tzar's pressed everyone into serfdom and forced them to work at a subsistence level at best to support their large, lavish palaces. That's not unfair - all the Russian people were treated the same. It still sucked. It certainly wasn't nice or kind or humanitarian. It wasn't right. But it was fair. That's what hughesjr is saying. It's not unfair, it's just not right.

From hughes: "I do see that some people might not be able to plan and others can. I see it though that most people are unable to plan for the second game. Which is why, if it is not corrected soon, I can see the 2 game a day worlds as deserving a free season."

Sounds to me like he thinks it is unfair in the two-a-day worlds, just not unfair enough warrant a free season, at least not yet.

And just a massive logic fail on your part. If some people are now unable to gameplan for one of the games due to the new sim time, that affects only a specific group of people, not everyone. But yeah, I'm the slow one.

I'll bet "vast majority" is wrong. I think plenty of people can gameplan for the PM game and plenty can't. That makes it pretty unfair, if true, anyway.

Regardless, I think they'll fix it soon, so I'm not sure any of this really matters. I do still think the whole things adds to the feel of this being a big beta test, though, which doesn't sit well with a lot of people.

This would be "UNFAIR" ...

WIS puts a block on all the IP Addresses in the state of New York.

This is not "UNFAIR" ...

Access is delayed to all users equally for the same period of time.

Both of those are problems that need to be fixed ... and they both may need compensation by WIS ... but one is UNFAIR and the other is just a problem.

If I work the mid shift and you work normal days, is it unfair that I am awake for the 0300 cycle for recruiting every time and you are asleep?

Should they only run recruiting cycles during the day or during the night ...

It is unfortunate that there is a delay, and it affects some people more than others, but it is not unfair. Every cycle, on time or not, impacts some users more than others.

It is the word unfair that I take exception to, not that the 2 a day guys are impacted.

I have yet to see one sufficiently similar analogy to make the point it's not unfair.

Here's the difference, something that no one claiming "fairness" has acknowledged: those people were told, on the website itself, what times the games were scheduled to sim. I'll bet a lot of people would not play in two-a-day worlds if they knew they couldn't gameplan for one of those games. It's the sudden shift in times that makes your attempted analogy incomparable. Again, for clarity's sake, it's unfair because these people would never have paid money if they knew they couldn't gameplan.
