I wrote that so quickly I forgot about Lattimer; but he indeed would need to be part of a sequal.  Maybe he can be serving a shortened jail sentence for raping that girl during the party scene. Joe is the only one of his former teammates that visits him.  Then Part III can focus on his getting out of jail and trying to rebuild his life.

I think Lattimer is now a bible toting, anti-steroid spokesman who is ready to let God do his heavy lifting.  He shaves his beard into the shape of crosses and wears eye black with bible verses on them.  He also takes mission trips to the Phillipines every year to play with little children.  Why does this scenario sound so familiar?

It's not analagous.

In real life, if a battled-after recruit goes with Duke over UNC, Roy Williams can turn around and have his picked of any number of other great recruits. If that happens in HD, the losing coach is generally looking at either a subpar player or a walk-on.

Now, I agree that poaching is totally fine and I've been on both sides of it. Not arguing against it. But to say HD poaching is comparable to real life is simply not true.

I am fine with 'poaching' as long as its done to better your team and not systemic attack on another coach or school.  Like I don't think its right for a UNC to just wait and jump on Duke's #1 target every year, but once in a while when Duke is over extended is fine, as long as they do it to Wake and NC State too.
