I actually think that while I liked the rebounding advantages that could be gained before the update, the new system is more realistic and produces numbers more in line with real life numbers.  Lots of people get upset when the game doesn't produce recognizable numbers.  The rebounding advantages of the best rebounding teams and disadvantages of the worst align pretty well with RL numbers right now...

@ Courtmagic - your post is ridiculous.  I'm sorry.  But it's not the case that in RL there is this huge gap between the worst D1 players and best D2 players.  You seem to think that there is.  Are you suggesting there's this huge talent gap in which no players find themselves?  Because they're all either clear D1 players or clear D2 players?  I mean seriously...  There's a talent spectrum that's pretty continuous.  All that some of the coaches want is a few more players on the top end of the bell curve in this game...

rebounding in HD and RL are not similar in terms of elite rebounding teams and margin...in Wooden, the top teams REB margin are essentially between 7.5 and almost 8.0 REBs per game in all 3 divisions.  DI's top margin included (where the talent gap is supposed to be very wide from elite teams to bad teams)

in real life, the last two years in DI the elite rebounding teams averaged a rebounding margin of 13-14 rebounds a game - essentially almost double.

there is NO team in HD that i see that is an elite rebounding team like in RL - it's just not possible to make one

for those unsure about REB margin:

the top 10 in RL in rebounding margin (2010-2011 current numbers):

Pitt 13.2
Old Dominion 10.9
Drexel 10.3
Texas AM 10.3
on down to Southern Miss at 8.2 as the #10 in REB margin
#25 is UNC at 6.4

in Wooden:

UCLA is #1 with 8.0 REB per game margin
#10 is Michigan at 5.5
#25 is Connecticut St at 4.4

the margin was even greater in RL in 2009-2010
