ah.  Okay, that's better.  I like you.  While I don't agree that most owners think they're going to win the league at the start, they should think that way... they only prove themselves right when they don't.

Reading these boards it does sound like about half the people are here to play and have fun and half of us only really have “fun” if we actually win.

Quick question about the logic of the sim engine, I’m concerned that my West team in this league only averaged 75 FGA per game in RL, I think that will likely lead to individual usage penalties.

The question is this: is there NOT a SERIOUS flaw in the logic of the individual penalty? If a player goes past the parameters of his usage then he hits the penalty. If he is in the penalty then the probability of him having a turnover increases exponentially. However, one of the components of the usage formula IS turnovers, so by forcing the player into a turnover the sim logic also adds to his usage at the same time, thus increasing the likelihood that the player REMAINS in the penalty. What kind of flawed logic is that?

Please correct me if I’m understanding this wrong.

Your understanding is reasonable.

There are two different penalties. There is an individual player penalty, which kicks in if they've exceeded a value that is a combination of their individual possessions per 82 games and their possessions per minute.

The other penalty comes into play if you don't have enough Usage% on the court at a particular time. We basically assign points to each of the 5 players based on their Usage%, and if the sum is under a certain level then a penalty applies based on how far under you are. So you could avoid the penalty by having one or two high volume guys with some role players, or by having a balance of middle volume guys.

Alright so this draft was kind of a weird one for me. I made a huge mistake in drafting Mutombo, he has no effectiveness worth using aside from a backup roll and well I took him away from everyone, but still a tough pick to swallow.

I like having two passing options playing higher minutes, Harden will probably be the sixth man for the squad.

I think the team is going to be strong on the glass, the balance should be fine with distribution given that Kareem will play high minutes.
