OK, something occurred to me on the way to the liquor store(I'm gonna get drunk and argue/troll all night. Won't that be fun?). Nonetheless, sensing and mexmet should pay attention until then because this is about as close as you'll get to an apology.
I come from HBD so I'm probably WAY more tolerant of time-consuming actions. That said, I had 7 team at one time and it was like a job. After recognizing the job-like qualities, I decided I had to do something differently. I dumped the OCD tendency to value a 77 over a 76 or 75 to the point it made me crazy(I know, I'm just using round numbers because it's easy). To accomplish this, I looked at results. That 77 wasn't always better than the 75. Hell, it wasn't always better than the 72. So while others would pay 10m for a 77, I'd pay 10m for a 75 and a 74. My enjoyment came back and I was far less crazy.
Now, equating that to HD scouting, I see three similar level 2 scouted players. I just scout all three to level 3 without blinking. After all, it's $128 fake dollars each. I'm not getting all three, I might not get even one. But I'm not going to look at a series of A, B, C over and over again before clicking "scout". I can see where some might. It's a level of OCD that no longer plaques me(I'm not making fun of OCD. My wife is terrible with it and I still love her 92.3% of the time). So, while it takes me 20m, I can get why it takes sensing 30-40m and mexmet the non-numerical time of "a few hours".
So despite their name-calling and the aspersions cast at my character, I think I understand their positions better. It's simply going to take some longer than others because they're more detailed oriented. Although, holding true to form, I still don't think anyone drops 5 teams because scouting is "so time-consuming." If you still enjoy the game, you'll find a way to make an extra 5-10 minutes a week. One way would be to not engage me and call me names. Just sayin'.
