You guys can just block spud and mike, I did and I know I haven't missed a knowledgeable comment in weeks. They are like spam mail just delete them and they are gone.

As for prestige vs AP I think that with the effort already put forth the A+ should've easily put the D+ down to low. I would say what whatever prestige was worth before easily cut it in half. If it was 50% extra per letter grade before maybe it's more like 20% now?

I agree with this, although I think it is amplified by AP being a bit overvalued. Even if Prestige value per letter grade is around, 20% my A+ should have meant my efforts were almost worth double his. Being able to only put him down to moderate after equaling the non-AP effort means that roughly 300-350 AP is worth about 20-25 HV.

So, with a three letter grade advantage (at D1) we have learned that roughly 90% effort drops a team to moderate and 80% effort pushes them down to high. My best guess is that around 45% effort gets you to VERY HIGH.

Still, I do think AP is overvalued by Trenton... (sorry trenton) To me AP is 120 = 1HV... maybe less. And I think prestige is higher. There are actions that are truly high value.

I was against a A+ while B+ and kept at moderate until I launch the promise start, then I went to VH pretty quick. He did drop to H, then got back to VH, me to H only on a promise start. It's mover.

Zorzi- based on a conservative estimate of prestive value, wouldn't my example here make it more along the lines of 25 AP = 1 HV?

My math said 50 APs = 1 HV

AP is modified by prestige.

Yeah... and so is the HV. So its a constant.

The major takeaway to me seems to be if you want someone you better find room for him in your starting lineup

Which I think, is a good thing.

Yes. I suspect matching his APs would have also knocked the D+ out of signing range, without the start.

Prestige still matters. A lot. But it's tied to effort, so if you don't prioritize the recruit, and let someone else set the price for him, you can be beaten. Or in this case, someone else may have *slightly* more than a snowball's chance in hell.

What you guys don't realize is that at the start of BETA, seble indicated that AP was similar in value to a call/letter in the HD 2.0 system but that was when cycles ran every 3 hours. When it was moved to 6 hour cycles he doubled its recruiting value.

Under the HD 2.0 system, I estimated a call/letter to be worth around between 1:60 to 1:50 to HV ratio so when you take that average and double it, the 30 AP to HV isn't too far off (so yes AP is truly over powered in HD 3.0).

Hypothesis: D- = 1, D 1.1, D+ 1.2 (...) C+ 1.5 , B-1.6(...)A1.9 A 2 A+ 2.1

If you get 30 ap = 1hv. Say D+ has 300 * 1.2 = 360 = 12 hvs, to 630= 21 hvs.

We need to test that AP stuff... But with a value of 30 = 1hv... and prestige /2 of what it was worth. It sure be nice to get in to 80 right off the bat on a stud and keep at it.

Isn't it 13 cycles before signing? So you can punch in, with three recruits and more 1040 ap before signing period... so it's a 35 hvs jump... Normally 10 hvs drop a guy from vh to h, 20 to mediocre...
