I don't know if my offense is good enough here. greater emphasis on 3s lately. thoughts?

You say you made a greater emphasis on three point shooting, but you don't yet have a single player who shoots over 40% from three point land.

You do seem to have a lot of money available for a solid bench.

welllllll Tyreke shoots 39.9% from 3 so I'm as close as can be to saying that without being able to say it

but no, I'm strictly referring to volume. Much as it pains me to shoot for more 3s when I'm not satisfied with efficiency, this may be a shift worth making. But I'll only concede that in volume, not percentage. As long as the eFG% is, say, above 51.5%, and the volume of 3s can be met so as to distort opponent rebounding, doesn't matter much to me what the individual percentages are.

Either there’s something to the idea of having more 3s than I usually have while maintaining efficiency, low TOs and D, or I need still more boards or assists. But I can’t imagine starting more than 130% and still needing something else. I don’t understand why I didn’t get over the hump with the last squad. There has to be one more piece to the puzzle. I thought last season’s team was perfect, but apparently it wasn’t.

I’ve had the best record in a league six or seven times. I’ve been to a Finals 14 or 15 times, way more than anyone else without a title. (walking to my car, don’t have exact numbers off the dome) Despite what some people may say - and I’m sure they will if they make an opening - I’m not bad at this, not anymore

Ok so can I win another title with Wilt and Kobe??? Remember several years ago when I was a lot better at this and won my first title? Then the next season I traded all of my picks for all of jethroegg's picks so I could get Wilt? That caused the haters to come out. Then after I drafted Kobe to pair up with Wilt the haters all went away. I am hopeful but with all of the strong owners in this league now and, Kobe's bad EFG% and high usage, my team just might end up being pretty mediocre. In RL I would have loved to see Wilt and Kobe on the same team.

Vance, I’m still thinking about the team with Doc and Towns. I forget what round you got them in - didn’t you also have Rodman? - but that was a great team

I think there is a certain amount of luck involved. I know your team was good last season, maybe they just hit a cold streak at the worst time.

Thanks bds9992. Yeah that team was great and lost in the finals to one of dh555's awesome squads. I think that the poor defense at the pg position (currently an undrafted player) and a lack of 3's killed that team. Yes, Rodman and SF, DR J at SG, KAT at PF and Patrick Ewing at C. KAT was I believe a 3rd round pick with Ewing going in the 4th round or vice a versa so to speak.

For this team I did think a lot about taking DR J at the bottom of round 2 at the SG position, instead of drafting Kobe later on, but of course I didn't have that option.

GL this season bds9992. It's just a really tough league to win. This season I have opted so far to make Wilt the 3rd offensive option usage wise behind the players I am drafting at the guard positions. I would like to see how well the team does if Wilt can average between 15 and 20 FGA's per game to counter Kobe's misses. But with Wilt just being a 2 usage point player at the season I am using he may have too many games with less than 10 FGA's which could spell disaster this season.
