I wasn't here back then so I'll defer to you, Gil. He didn't mention anything other than the fact that you've always had to buy seasons, and then apply those seasons to a team. I didn't ask about intentionally leaving teams as we were talking about people losing teams by accident.
"Note: if you don't have any seasons available in your pool, the auto renew will fail and you'll lose your team."
That just seems easily addressable to me.
totally agree that they should enhance the auto renew!
i couldn't remember what changed either till that hour elapsed, and i'm sure i don't remember it all, either - but that intentionally leaving teams was just an example that came to mind as something i couldn't do. which is obscure but the reason why is not - that whole page/place we go to manage renewals and to see renewal status and stuff, it did not exist. there was no renewal management on the user side, you could add seasons, or not.
i don't think it was a great leap forward in terms of the quality of the renewal process itself, honestly. but it was a big difference in the sense they started with no UI or anything. now that all that exists, its probably a lot easier for them to go make the fix? which in truth, i agree we've probably been asking for for 15+ years - let us auto renew via CC.
