How do you know that he lied? Are you the bus driver?

What about the coyotes bringing women and children in, raping, getting rich off of these people? That's ok to continue? Very selective you are...
You do realize that if we made legal immigration easier, they wouldn't have to go through the illegal, dangerous methods?
The current law isn't being enforced. That's my beef. It is largely at the expense of people who didn't ask for it.

If immigration law changes. I will accept it.

I feel for those who have been waiting months, perhaps longer than a year to enter legally. How is this remotely fair to them?

All at the expense of mass asylum. A policy not welcome by the majority of Americans...
So you agree with me, then, that we should dramatically expand the amount of people who can immigrate LEGALLY so that we can avoid the human trafficking and stop long wait times?

Read Dumbass says...

"The other day, President Joe Biden accused voters of the opposition party of turning to "semi-fascism." This is probably the first time in American history a president has openly attacked the opposing party's constituents in this way.

After the last six years of mango mussolini doing NOTHING BUT attacking the opposing party's constituents in the most vile, disgusting and sickening ways possible I'm not going any farther than this COMPLETE BULLSHIT right here.

Shove your hypocritical garbage into your empty head because then it'll at least be filled with something.
Excellent explanation to those who need some esplainin.

And it has not been only the dictator.
How many politicians in office or running have gone either just as far or have protected or have been apologists for the new autocracy.

I don't know if dramatically is the proper term. Let's start with fair and legal. People shouldn't be dying in trailers, or in the desert. If there's a line, you begin at the end of the line. Biden is directly circumventing the law. I object.

California needs migrant workers for the farms. They most certainly can and should be documented, earning a fair wage. That can and should be negotiable. Both parties have played ugly, allowing the cheap wages to continue. They're taken advantage of...

I'm for getting inbound folks to sign the guest list. Let's make an attempt at vetting, shall we?

Both sides at least need to try to reach some middle ground.

I don't agree with you Tangy. But I believe in copious work visas/green cards.

Applicants for residency are very closely vetted.
The fate of people brought here as kids and are paying taxes and signing up to defend the country is more important.
Lets get that done first and then worry about Nannie’s and landscapers and fruit pickers
9/15/2022 3:23 PM
There's little or no vetting of those wading across the Rio Grande. Might we include them, por favor?

I'm in favor of offering a better existence for poor mothers and orphans. Those with a criminal history, not so much...

All this sitting around has me going nuts. I'm three weeks into a convelesant vacation for a completely screwed up back. I begin physical therapy and traction on Monday...

Don't mess with me, I'm busy finishing off my Culver's oohey gooey chocolate concrete with extra chocolate syrup...

it's time for the sanctuary states to put up or shut up

send us your tired your poor your huddled masses

we could use us some farm workers

a guy who will pick berries for $50 a day is also a guy who might be persuaded, in the slow season

to escort the homeless offa my block

you know, were a civic minded person such as myself willing to finance such a freebooting campesino

in the interests, of course, in north south relations

I remind you Doc. I LIVE in AZ. Not very far from that border you are actually talking about. I'm here to tell you clearly and openly, your statement I have quoted below; It's utter nonsense. COMPLETE and utter misinformation because NONE of it is true. Our Arizona towns are NOT being "trampled", nor are there Fentanyl deaths "everywhere". That's BS. Fentanyl deaths only occur in those that take street drugs. Too many deaths yes, but everywhere, not hardly!! I have no sympathy for "federal workers". Those positions are usually nice long-term opportunities but they ARE subject to the rules of the Gov't. Kinda comes with the territory. In addition the full choice was ON the EMPLOYEE!! This is, after all, still a free Country.

"Instead he allows more than one million undocumented migrants to trample southern border towns at great expense to the American taxpayers. Fentanyl deaths are everywhere, due to the staggering amounts being smuggled in. They are not required to get vaccinated, meanwhile firing or penalizing law abiding citizens and federal workers for not wearing a mask or getting booster shots."
Bob, I don't know what you are seeing, but there's this...

The New York Times recently cited internal DHS documents and court filings to report that more than a million illegal migrants have so far been released into the U.S. for asylum hearings overall since President Biden took office. That number will continue to rise in the months and years ahead.

BORDER SHERIFFS SLAM DC MAYOR, OFFICIALS FOR DECLARING EMERGENCY OVER MIGRANT BUSES: ‘THEY HAVE SEEN NOTHING’

That figure also does not include the number of illegal aliens who have slipped past Border Patrol. Sources have put the number of known gotaways at more than 500,000 this fiscal year, on top of the nearly 400,000 known? gotaways that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas previously testified there were in all of FY21.

Border towns will often face these numbers in surges as migrants come across in large groups. Fox News reported on Wednesday, the same day the 50 migrants were flying to Martha’s Vineyard, that several hundred migrants had gathered under a bridge in El Paso, Texas. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) told Fox that it was releasing migrants near El Paso shelters and bus stations as they are over capacity. El Paso's mayor told Fox News last week it is seeing 1,000 to 1,400 migrants a day.

In Del Rio Sector alone there is an average of 1,500-2,000 illegal crossings every day. In Eagle Pass, which is included in Del Rio Sector, a large group of over 200 migrants, mostly single adults, crossed into the U.S. The Del Rio Sector saw 3,300 illegal crossings and more than 733 "gotaways" last weekend alone.

As liberal jurisdictions -- including Washington D.C., New York City and Chicago -- fume about the migrants being sent to their cities, border sheriffs and officials have previously told Fox News Digital that the numbers are nothing compared to what they see.

McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos told Fox News last month that "The city of McAllen was able to deal with thousands of immigrants a day…I think they can handle a few hundred." Villalobos said that McAllen sees about 100 crossings a day

Texas has ALWAYS been a mess/clusterF.

Goes with the territory IMO.

None of it has anything to do with numbers of immigrants or asylum applications which can be expedited plenty well.

The underlying worry for Republicans is the fear of a changing electorate and for too many a disgust for people who are not white.

Same as it always was, same as it always was.

Meanwhile back at the ranch or or should we call it the hacienda , the dynamic duo of DeSantis and Abbott are ******* off the Venezuelan community in Florida who are wondering why Abbott and Costello thump their chests about the communist dictator but then throw people who spend months trying to escape and survive and then through lies and deception are stuffed into buses being sent to places they were not told that they were going to just to, as sick as it sounds, - own the libs.

For Republicans it is a Mother Tucker Carlson world where sneering and hate fueling is king.

What happened to the so called GOP has way too much in comparison to early rise of the nazis.
If you can’t see that then you are probably not aware of how much they depend on your support and protection because the blindly obedient are the godly ones.

It is a mad mad mad mad country and let’s hope that the leader either legally or otherwise kicks the bucket.
Seeing that happen is on my bucket list.

So many words to say so little. "Fair and legal" is essentially our current system. My argument is that while we obviously do proper and full vetting, we should also expand the number of immigrants we take in and invest in increasing the speed of the immigration process so we don't have these long backlogs.

We will have fewer undocumented immigrants if we make immigrating legally easier.
9/15/2022 10:19 PM
OR all (permanent) immigration suspended indefinitely. IF you can't get in at all, who will come?
