I am not sure how to take that. That statement was posted in anticipation of knowing that other posters wouldn't demean my integrity by making false presumptions. I simply responded. In hindsight, I probably should have just sitemailed csherwood when he made the comment that I only tend to bail for better teams, but felt that if I did that, the repercussions of his statement would have gotten out of hand.

Lesson learned -- never state something then go back on it. Noted.

1) that is one hell of a horribly constructed sentence

2) that is one hell of a horrible "anticipation of knowing"

I never said you intend to bail for better teams, I actually said you intend tobail on every team. As I said previously, when I evaluate players to join the world I commish, there isnt much to go on - I dont have your family history and every detail of every league you have been in...what I begin with is being able to see your profile - and when I look at yours I see someone who has way too many one and dones. If my league was quasi-public and took everyone in, just wanting to fill and dtart a new season, sure I would let you in. but if I had a choice between you and someone with three leagues the vae been in for 5+ seasons and maybe a couple other leagues they were in shorter time - it is a no brainer. You simply do not have an attractive resume to a commish. your best bet now is to pick a handful of worlds (or all 10 if you have time for that), but spend the next several years (yes years!) building yourself into a strong part of each of those leagues. If you came to me 2 years from now and you have 5 or 6 consecutive seasons in all the leagues you are in, I am much more likely to find your resume convincing, especially if offered with an explanation that you used to jump around with one and dones, but since this thread realized that was not the way to earn a strong reputation in HBD and changed your ways.

In the end, this thread started as what was viewed by most of us as a complaint that because you are not an active forum poster you dont get invites to certain worlds. The point is that invites to certain worlds have nothing to do with forum posts and everything to do with your resume - despite your assertions to the contrary your track record is not one that most commishes would be interested in, and actions do speak louder than words.

Based on your presumption of me, I doubt I would really ever want to be in a world with you. Now, I know that isn't breaking your heart. I guess we just weren't meant to be. As you said, it's me, not you.

And I doubt I will have to wait years, but we will see, won't we.

Therein lies the problem- you have a very easy time making excuses for going back on your word.

There's always an excuse (this one is really lame- it's the internet, just hit "X" and go get lunch) and people rarely care to hear them. They only care about the bottom line, which in this case is whether you follow through on your word. It seems that in most cases the answer is "no," so people are not going to value your word.

And then they become regular d-bags.
