1977 George Foster (Reds)
,320 BA, .382 OBP, .631 SLG in real life
.213 BA, .276 OBP, .318 SLG in the SIM

and the main reason why I have one of the, if not THEE worst Giants team in the tournament...

2003 Jason Schmidt (Giants)
0.95 WHIP, .200 OAV, 2.34 ERA in real life
1.80 WHIP, .316 OAV, 7.63 ERA in the SIM

Your 93 Bonds' OPS is .519 below his real life.  That might be the biggest difference I've seen.  I have the two guys listed above who are 400+ diff.  I have a dozzen or so guys 300+ diff.  But 500?  Wow.

When I posted the individual pitching stats last week, my John Tudor was ranked #1 among all the Tudors...  His stats were...

J. Tudor 85 5 schwarze Sportsman's Park (III) 8 58.3 3 3 2.31 0.217 1.06 5 14

Since then, he's started 6 more games (always at 100%).  In 38.1 IPs, he's allowed 59 hits and 28 earned runs for an ERA of 6.57, which ironically would rank him LAST among the Tudors.

Nice

Nothing like following up a 7-1 update with a 2-6 update, wiping out that progress in one fell swoop.

At least Addie has thrown 17 straight scoreless innings, lowering his ERA from 5.45 to 4.80

I had my first 8-0 run today during the PM games.  Oh-oh, look out for those PM2 games...

I had my first (and only) 8-0 a early this week.  Unfortunately, when factoring in the two sessions before and the two after, I was still under .500 for the 40 games.  It's now at the point where I'm that not upset at going 2-6 or 3-5, as long as the "right" two or three teams are winning.  I have two teams that have a shot at the best overall record, plus a three or four other teams that have a shot at the playoffs.  So, as far as I care, my Tigers and Phillies can keep on losing as long as I get 3-4 wins from the other 6 teams.

Gentlemen, I am proud to announce that my 1954 Ted Kluszewski hit his FIRST homerun after only 251 plate appearances! WOO HOO. He hit 49 that year averaging a homerun after every 14.2 plate appearances. (14 vs 251 pretty close)

Yep, a quick 1-7 today took care of this positive note...

Let's add 1953 Al Rosen to the underperforming list.  I debated whether to draft him too.

Actual - .336 avg, .613 slg%, 1.034 OPS
Sim     - .220 avg, .327 slg%, .607 OPS

My Giants are 22-8 on the road, 17-16 at home. whoops.
My Cubs started 2-12 and are 32-31 now.
My Orioles started 6-3 and are 22-41 now. (Same division as calhoop's 9-0 Tigers that are now 30-33.)

1927 Paul Waner has an OPS of .982 for my Pirates. (RL is .986, but that from a '20s player in a $120M league is significant overperformance to me.)
1994 Mark Eichhorn has an OAV of .391 for those Orioles. (RL .240.) I shudder to think how he'd do as a mop-up guy.

One team in first, two teams out of it, three teams fighting, another two kind of in range if they can make up ground. Better than where I feared I'd be, but the sim could strike at any moment. (A poor craftsman blames the online tools.)

2000 Jim Edmonds (Cards)

2005 Carpenter is now 0-18 in 20 starts.  My team is 32-30 when someone else starts and 1-19 when Carp does.

Seriously, how is this even possible?

I need to erect a shrine to Barney Pelty with how good he has been for me.
