100M was the most challenging for me. I couldn't decide on what hitter to use, and I just know that are obvious choices that I overlooked.

I will probably get laughed at for choosing the hitter I did...

Only took me two weeks to come up with my ideal 100M clone. My first guy might have made Easy's look like a HOFer

Is it safe to begin renaming our franchises for the ones you require specific names for?

The 70M, 80M, and 120M teams came together for me very quickly.  The 110M team took a few iterations but I saw what I wanted after a short time.  I made at least 12-15 versions each of the 90M and 100M teams.  I'm still not convinced that either team is as strong as it could be. It will be interesting to see how many different eras are represented in the 100M leagues.  The 90M team that I made came together out of the blue but there was one other intriguing choice from which I walked away because I didn't think the hitting was strong enough.  We'll see how it all plays out.  This is the first time in several years in which I've had enough time to participate.

The same with me on the $90M theme. It took me a long time to get there but, in the end, I had 3 teams put together. I had one that I really wanted to use but there just was not enough hitting there for my comfort level. But that pitching staff would have been dominant. I was so tempted but, I didn't want to lose 90 games because I couldn't score any runs. Between the other two, the choice was easy as one team had slightly better pitching and hitting.

Please wait to rename your teams until all the rosters are checked.  I will send out a site-mail this week, once all the rosters have been verified.

$90 and $100 were my toughest builds.  Still not sure I entered the right $100M team.  If that team doesn't do well I'll be kicking myself because I have one still built that for several reasons held more appeal to me.  But of course I didn't use it because the one I've chosen supposedly has better pitching.

All about pitching.

The amount of data that schwarze provides about roster selection is fantastic. Not only does it shine light on how users think going into the tournament and how they approach different problems (which can be useful both in terms of adding new strategies and thought processes to your own team creation process, and also for building round 2 teams for those of us who make it), it also becomes even more interesting once the round is complete.

Thanks, schwarze.

It gets better.  Very soon, a new thread will appear where people start writing about their team building process.  It's one of the best things about round 1.  Getting inside the minds of rbow923, brianjw, WaitNSee, discodemo, etc. on how they went about building their teams is invaluable.

That's the truth. I actually read the entirety of last year's thread prior to starting my teams this year. Definitely helped with making the tough decisions in multiple ways.
