So it looks like there are four teams at 80-81 fighting for 2 spots, and my Some Dingers team is at 79-82 but could win the tiebreaker if we wind up in a tie with a few teams at 80-82. I guess I need at least 3 teams to lose, and I have to win AND I can't be tied with njbigwig for the final spot because he'd win that tiebreaker. Wild!

It looks to me as if schwarze's two 81-80 teams have clinched now. The only teams that can reach 81 wins and tie them would have lower Exp%.

And njbigwig's 80-81 team needs to either win or have either juice or barracuda's team lose.

So it appears that the only way my team finishes in the Top 24 is if I win my last game and either NJBIGWIG or SCHWARZE (the "Christy Mathewson" bunch) loses their game - correct?

That's how it looks to me.

Never underestimate the collapse of this Walter Johnson team. A blowout loss coupled with a blowout win by juice or barracuda. They were 60-46 not that long ago. Anything is possible.

schwarze always wins :) Got the final 2 spots and 3 of the final 5!

Well, we almost pulled off a miracle. We won our game to finish 81-81 but the others won as well. I've never had a team that was so bad make such a big comeback at the end of a season before. We were recently 11 games under .500 and just finished with an 18-7 run. Even more amazing is that although we were out-scored by 74 runs (we scored 791 but gave up 865), we were 30-14 in one-run games and 15-10 in extra-inning affairs. Twenty-Five freakin' games went into extra's...lol.

And my team that started 49-39 and then fell way out of contention rebounded to have at least some chance in Game 162. They got shut out, but it wouldn't have mattered. And thus they finished 30-44 and missed the cut by 2 games.
