I don't disagree with you much, Rails, but I will beg to differ on this one. I have been in a world with multiple IDs and I have purchased FSS for the same state. One of those IDs was in DIII and one of the states was Texas, so it wasn't easy.

I had to make sure, however, that I was above reproach, and that any accusation tossed my way would be unfounded. Since then I have simply cut down to one team per world to avoid the whole mess entirely.

who would throw a conference game, and if so, how would you do it, since half the game is 50% luck (to quote John Madden).

People are not complaining about someone simply losing a game on purpose.

What people are complaining about is the fact that there are some people who have bragged about tanking the conference championship game when they are a NT lock, so that the conference gets an extra NT bid. They did this so that they would get a little more money (but probably not enough to make it worth them getting a lower seed).

This takes away a spot from an at-large team who actually deserved to be there. That's what makes it everybody's business.

I think you misunderstood my post. People are complaining about there being possible punishment for throwing games. That is what I'm talking about.

Let me get this straight.

We pay money to play, now your trying to mandate when we are allowed to win or lose reguardless of the reason?

The person that you're screwing out of a bid pays money too, don't they? All for that extra less than 2000 recruiting dollars? Is that really going to help you in the long run?

I see your point, but if you really have to sit there and hope that each team that is favored in each conference wins just so you can squeek into the NT. Trust me you dont belong there anyway.

And do you deserve to be in if another team tanks for you to get in?

Throwing games is wrong period ! Do what you want with your line ups but never through a game...a good coach tries to win every game he can all the time with out question...bunch of knuckleheads........

What a useless topic and a useless announcement.

Can we please do something about the FSS not being available to first year coaches. I've sitemailed the staff numerous times and gotten no response. Anyone else having this problem?
2/23/2009 11:31 PM
Apparently the "important announcement about player improvement" is not important and has nothing to do with player improvement. Go figure.

Pretty sad that so many coaches have a problem with WIS cracking down on this. Lots of cheaters in HD.
2/23/2009 11:56 PM
This site runs rampant with collusion, cheating and unsportsmanlike behavior. Its ridiculous to think it would be otherwise considering the fact that over 50% or more of the people on here would do it of they thought they could get away with it. The only ones I hear complaining are most likely the ones doing the cheating and collusive behavior. Having more than one team in a specific world is ludicrous and I find it hard to believe WIS allows this. Thats just asking for trouble. I hope they burn all of you cheaters and loop-hole users. Its a game. Granted its not free, but its still a game and deserves to be treated as such and should be played with sportsmanship and integrity. Anyone and everyone should turn in anyone they think is cheating or throwing games. Hate me if you want to, but I'm turning anyone I think is guilty in to WIS. They will get you and I am watching a lot of you now, especially the ones complaining on here. I have a list of all of your user IDs and will watch accordingly. This has to stop. Cheating is for chumps.

If your'e going to do this, you do it against a terrible team in the regular season. Nobody is going to do it in a CT game unless they're actively trying to lose the game.
