As it stands now, there is no "advantage". When your world is scheduled, each and every member of that world has no choice but to adhere to the schedule. If the final day of coach hiring / FA signing falls on December 25th (or December 28th) then every single member of the world has to deal with that.

If December 25th becomes a "non-event" day, then people who celebrate the holiday on that date do not have HBD responsibilities that day. But December 26th, a national holiday in other countries, is NOT afforded this consideration. Events would proceed, as scheduled, without consideration of their holiday. Now, that might be a tiny minority of the HBD customer base. But I maintain it is an ADVANTAGE if you get a "day off" on your holiday and our Canadian friends do not receive the same consideration theirs.

If you can't understand why establishing "American holidays" as "non-event" days for HBD is biased and unfair, I can't explain it any better to you. You get to eat turkey and spend time with your family with no HBD consequences. Anyone who doesn't celebrate on the 25th gets no "day off"

Federal holidays, Federal holidays, Federal holidays.

WifS just so happens to be based in the United States of America. Maybe you've heard of it. If I play a game based in the UK(and I worked 10 years for a UK company), I wouldn't expect to get a break on Independence Day.

If no games are scheduled, there is no advantage to be gained. If there's no advantage, there's no unfairness or bias. It's just the way the game is set-up.

Do you work for the PC Police?

Sorry, if the President can take a day off, I think people should be able to ignore their HBD teams on that same day.

And maybe you cops can prevent some crimes on FEDERAL HOLIDAYS rather than sit in your car with a donut in one hand and a radar gun in the other hoping to catch someone speeding home to check their HBD team.

Merida. You'll need more than a nightstick.
11/24/2009 2:29 PM
what have you been putting in there that I'd need more than my nightstick?

I'll pass....I'm not much for throwing a hotdog down a hallway.
