I want a game that simulates basketball based upon basketball principles, however I want it to work within the confines of the ratings it uses to simulate the games, thus its less likely that "anything can happen" because the ratings give you an expectation of what should happen. Now that doesn't mean that I want a predictable game because I don't, I want a game that works well within the confines of itself, and if every time a "bizarre" result happens, you always use RL examples to write it/them off as normal, everyday occurences while not analyzing if your sim is doing the right things or not, that's when I think you run into problems, and I get this vibe that WIS would rather make excuses than look into possibly what's wrong with the game....the Chaminade-Virginia responses are exhibit A.
Let me please reiterate that I wasn't griping about the result in my first post....I thought it was bizarre that A. 33 points were scored in 5 mins of overtime....given that RL example it perhaps isn't so bizarre, and B. that my team scored 1 less point in 5 minutes than they did in 20.
