Kind of like you have, right?

The initial post isn't a gripe, people have agreed with my gripes about the sim engine, and just because I haven't "won" in the game doesn't mean that I don't know what's going on. If you think I post here out of sour grapes, I'm here to tell you you're dead *** wrong. You can like/dislike something without be directly involved or affected by it.

You trapped me into saying what you wanted me to say and now you're running with it and I commend you for that.

and Phillip?, although I think that some of what you say makes a sense - see for example the minutes complaint thread - this sort of argument fritters away your credibility There's no argument here, I posted a bizarre result.

Like I said, you don't have to be good at something to know how it works and my record is subpar for a variety of reasons that you don't seem to care about.

B) I have never claimed to have credibility. i have not earned respect and i constantly refer to myself a a newb in posts. i know i havent earned it yet, but i plan to. Game success doesn't automatically equal credibility. Just because person X succeeds in the game as is, doesn't necessarily mean that the game is perfect.

TO expand, you seem to make the argument that "If the sim isn't a perfect reflection of real life, then real life examples have no relevance"

Which is a position that utterly fails at logic.

And I'm sorry, whatever the reason is, the closer the sim approaches real life in its results, the better. On that count I think you ARE wrong. Indisputably it CAN be different. Should? That is very disputable. So you think its not a valid position to want a game that simulates real life behavior of games as closely as possible, Colonels?
1/25/2010 2:48 PM
I want a game that simulates basketball based upon basketball principles, however I want it to work within the confines of the ratings it uses to simulate the games, thus its less likely that "anything can happen" because the ratings give you an expectation of what should happen. Now that doesn't mean that I want a predictable game because I don't, I want a game that works well within the confines of itself, and if every time a "bizarre" result happens, you always use RL examples to write it/them off as normal, everyday occurences while not analyzing if your sim is doing the right things or not, that's when I think you run into problems, and I get this vibe that WIS would rather make excuses than look into possibly what's wrong with the game....the Chaminade-Virginia responses are exhibit A.

Let me please reiterate that I wasn't griping about the result in my first post....I thought it was bizarre that A. 33 points were scored in 5 mins of overtime....given that RL example it perhaps isn't so bizarre, and B. that my team scored 1 less point in 5 minutes than they did in 20.

WAsn't even bizarre within the context of the game, as multiple people showed you.

And I'm sorry, but there is no other way to parse what you just said as NOT wanting a more predictable game.

every time I come to this board I am amazed at the amount of p.ricks that play this game. Its usually the guys with the most success at this game. I guess being good at HD enables one to be a douche?

shut up. Stop trying to joke about how annoying you are, it doesn't change the fact that you are annoying

The irony of this post may make it one of the all-time HD greats.

Keep trying to convince everybody of that. Anyone who has followed those nightmares of threads closely knows different. In fact, it's been blatantly obvious.

Please allow me to interpret the following:

I've believed whole-heartedly in everything I've posted, seriously. I really am as big a moron as you all think. You guys want to keep mentioning and digging at me like I don't know what I'm talking about, You guys want to keep pointing out the obvious? then I in turn am going to keep you guys on your heels as well, I will continue to provide you all with materials so you can therby continue to laugh at my ability not to get "it" because as I've said before, if you think saying enough "bad stuff"If you insist on continuing to speak the truth about colonels this jackass is going to make me leave, it isn't, it only makes me stronger and go harder. At this point I'd like to point out that I spend my free time pretending to be a porn star. So like I said, its your choice....just make sure you can handle the choice you make....that's all I'm saying. Make sure to bring your 1st grade math books to keep up with my arguments.
