MG has been sitemailing me to take over from you and your Benito Mussolini ways.

I told them that I gave you permission to not allow me back in, so sorry.

So what do you do (outside of finding a new world) when the commish is the problem?
2/13/2010 3:06 PM
Be more careful when you sign up for a world the next time.

That isn't acceptable. If a person invests money in a league, leaving shouldn't be the only recourse for a bad situation. That is how lazy people solve problems.

No wait, it's gotta be your bull

It is the only acceptable solution. If you and a commish are at loggerheads then it is his perogative to either accept your position or express his intension not to renew you. If you find that a commish is "too lenient" or "too self-serving" your option is to "vote with your feet" or accept the situation. Any other solution underminds what little value the commissioner position has. If you make a mistake and join a league that has a problem in either of these directions then you have had a learning experience and hopefully will not make the same mistake a 2nd time.

If the league feels he's too self-serving, then what?

Who are you to determine what's acceptable? It was not too long ago, and it still holds true for some, that you're unacceptable into a quality world. Trouble seems to follow you. Any chance that the problem might be you?

I've said this before but I'll say it again, sometimes good owners aren't good fits in a good world. Maybe it's the owner, maybe it's the world. But if 16 owners aren't talking with their feet, the owner has to go.

As griv said, it's the only acceptable solution.

To put it another way, every world I've , I've a 1st place team behind(except for one. It was a WC team and I'd just won my 2nd WS in two seasons). The worlds weren't, or ceased to be, worlds I wanted to play in.

So, when you stop getting what you want out of a world, pack your bags and move along. There are lots of worlds out there. Find one that fits you.

You wouldn't keep going back to a restaurant if they served terrible tasting food and had horrible wait staff would you?

It appears that harthj would but he'd demand that the manager be replaced every time.

I would if I owned a share in the place.

In HBD, you can easily sell your share every three months and find a better joint.
