The first day of the tournament has always been a holiday for me (I'm ignoring the Tuesday play-in game). In high school, I faked being sick, in college I cut class and the last ten years I always schedule days off on that special Thursday/Friday. This year's opening day was great, a 3, a 4 and a couple 6s all went down and it set the stage for a great, wide-open tournament. If there was expansion, none of these teams would even play in the first round. To me, it's exciting when a top seed goes down and brackets get busted a couple hours into the tournament. I don't think it's the end of the world, but I'll be less interested if they expand, watching 9-24 seeds play just isn't as interesting to me and I doubt I'll watch the round of 64 games with the same intensity I do now.
