I have always thought it takes around 4 years to build loyalty to move, but here is a profile of one of my RL friends who managed to switch schools (Coastal Carolina to Siena) after just 2 seasons and another 3 to move to Baylor. We're talking a lot of seasons ago, so loyalty could have improved quicker back then.

You're correct, that was before they made the loyalty change.
hey thats colonels groundbreaking argument being refuted 2 pages ago

i'm done talking
Ummm, you do realize that A. I didn't use that example and B. Many of my examples were post season 13...correct?

Wow, unbelievable lack of comprehension...time and again...

It's funny how everyone shut up when I posted proof...

Maybe because 34 people have blocked you.  Also, I guess I regret provoking you into this thread, but taking a step back, what were you proving?  That the game was being unfair to you and only you?

I poked him into doing the research. And yes, a lot of those examples are ancient history, but I can't recall exactly when the adjustment was made (and the Release Notes were no help on that front) to say for sure whether they were all pre-adjustment or not.

I think loyalty plays far too big a part in the hiring process. I wasn't qualified for a single D1 job, not even a D- prestige, in Smith after taking Marquette to the NT all 3 of my years there and making the second round twice. My loyalty isn't even that bad - it's a C+.

One of my examples was from seasons in the 40s.  You can make all the excuses you want...I'm right.

Please explain how a coach skipping a season and switching schools is at all relevant to you not skipping a season and switching schools.

There are guys here saying that I would have needed an A+ loyalty to move laterally at D1 to be able to accept jobs that I "qualified" for.

tmac went from a D2 I believe to Toledo (I will fact check and correct if necessary) which will knock his loyalty down.  He sits out an entire season and is eligible/qualified for D1 jobs and he gets one, despite the fact that he probably doesn't/didn't have an A+ loyalty, thus this example further questions whether or not the A+ loyalty is necessary for the change.  Yes this comparison isn't apples to apples, and to a degree the jury is still out...I guess from my point of view, since this happened, I should be eliglible/qualified for some D1s for season 50, but either way, in my eyes, WIS is damned if you do and damned if you don't.

If I am eligible/qualified for D1 jobs in season 50 without an A+ loyalty, then why wasn't I eligible/qualified for D1 jobs in season 49...just because I didn't renew, partly due to the fact that I thought I'd be qualified for D1 jobs regardless?  I think that sends an incredibly confusing message as it makes the process seem screwy...probably because it is.  A coach isn't going to get squelched from D1 jobs IRL after resigning after 2 seasons, earning a CC in the most recent one.  If I'm not eligible/qualified for D1 jobs in season 50, then why was tmacfan?  The jury is essentially still out.  It still isn't any less ridiculous that I wasn't eligible/qualified to comeback to a D1 after the renewal lapsed.

The jobs process is overly complex.  I understand that they don't want people jumping from job to job each season, but it's not like users can jump from a D- D1 to an A+ D1 in the matter of a season; they have the proper standards set in place to prevent this.  If I can't move laterally or down as far as prestige goes in D1 because of loyalty, then that's detrimental to the process.  Again, I'm not going from South Carolina State to Duke, I'm going from South Carolina State to Morris Brown...I'm not looking at all to break the bank.  Winning 41 games and a CC in D1 wouldn't shut me out of jobs in real life, so why should it do it in HD?
