For that matter, the noble thing to do in that other thread would have been to post tmac's resume and say something like "Oh, it looks like taking a season off resets your Loyalty and allows you to make that kind of lateral move, so I guess I inadvertently stumbled onto the right course of action by forgetting to renew. My bad, folks, sorry."

Basically, you're one of the last people on this forum who should be lecturing someone else on what "the noble thing to do" is. You come across as a small, petty, self-absorbed person, and while that might be 'noble' in the sense that you'd fit right in with a 17th century French aristocracy, it's certainly not 'noble' in the way you're using the word.

I will not sit silent when someone blatantly compromises the integrity of a game that I PAY TO PLAY.  My two options are to speak out against him and what he's doing (I've done/am doing that) and/or to do what he's doing, worse, just to prove that WIS will compromise it's own game at all costs.  I mean in all honesty, what if my gf knows that I love HD, but we get in a spat and she releases all of my players off of my team in a fit of rage?  I WILL GET THEM BACK or I WILL GET A REFUND...there's no two ways about it.  You want to f*** the system, I'll show you how to f*** the system.  I'm doing the former because currently, that's probably the best/right thing to do.  I'm not going to accept someone hoodwinking the game, especially when they act like they're faultless in the situation.  Being noble and being cordial are 2 different things.

As far as the tmac thing goes...the jury is still out like I said...but regardless, I won't be satisfied because if I am eligible for a D1 job in 50, then why wasn't I for 49, and if I'm not, then why did tmac get a D1 if in fact his loyalty might be/have been a shade worse than mine?  Blindly accepting premises and policies as they are, and/or agreeing with "intelligent veterans" isn't noble, it's just a power trip for arrogant guys like yourself.

Again, just because you don't like my candor doesn't mean that I'm not being noble.  I didn't know that asking someone to be accountable for their actions and to accept the consequences was a sin, but I guess if a guy is well liked enough around here, they can murder someone and get patted on the back....or the front if you will.  I'm not the one with the off thinking here...you guys are once again proving that it's just not cool to agree with colonels19, and it was mentioned earlier in this thread.  You oppose me because of who I am and not the arguments I make, and you should understand that by now....you really need to take a look in the mirror, if your ugly *** doesn't break it first.

Block me, I don't give a damn...that's your issue, not mine.  If you can't put up with people that don't agree with you, that's not my problem.

The first thing I did after reading this thread was block colonels. 

The mistake cornfused made was clearly 100% honest, and easy for WIS to fix.  If you don't want to ask for your team back, then fine, thats your problem.  I understand the argument about having to draw the line somewhere, but  there is no reason not to reverse an honest mistake that affected no one other then himself.

The chance to reverse his "honest mistake" came when it said "Are you sure you want to rescind X's scholarship"...and what did cornfused click?...that's right....

Now since I've blocked you I can't even see what you've posted.  Much better this way.

Colonels, whether your statement is correct or not (and I certainly don't think that it is), for your sake I hope that one day you will figure out how to get your message across without coming off like a jackass. It will serve you will and help you get much, much farther in life than you would otherwise (that's not directed at you; that's true across the board).

And again, it's not about diluting your message or conforming or anything like that, it's simply about not being a jackass.

If you can learn that here, then HD will have been a rousing success for you.

I know you'll never believe me, but the guy I am on the boards and the guy I am in real life are 2 relatively different people.  Written words and speech are 2 completely different dynamics, and I think people tend to get more offended with the things that I type, as opposed to talking to me in person.  In person, I'm breezy and rather non-confrontational...I'm a natural comedian, always looking to get the best and most out of people.  You don't know that side of me because I got off on the wrong foot here, with everyone, thus you guys keep coming at me because you don't like my harshness and brashness, but I've more or less accepted my "villain" role here.  I mean really dalt, I could just start posting with any of my other ids that you don't know about at any time and do a complete 180, but I don't do it, that's weak, that's running away from who you are, what you've become, and the bed that you've more or less made for yourself.  35 people or so have blocked me?  It is what it is...I own and accept this deck of cards.

Like I always say, things are always as good or as bad as anyone I argue with wants them to be.  You want to be cordial, I'll be cordial.  You want to slam and try to 1 up the colonel, then you're in for a fight.  Whether you've noticed it or not, a lot of you guys have adopted a sort of gang mentality against me here, you guys gather like flies every time I post, and I don't have a problem with that.  Yes I err on the harsh side.  Yes I'm brash.  Yes I can talk things to the death and beat dead horses, but understand that your responses are really what control where the conversation goes.  It'll be interesting to see how you take this, because this essentially is the real TwR on the screen here, but I can't honestly say that I know how you'll react.  I'm betting you'll find some way to take this negatively and respond accordingly...so yes I have preconceived notions about what you will/might post, but show me that I'm wrong then.

You thinking that it's kind of your job to teach me and help me learn life lessons through these boards and HD is really nothing short of laughable.  You don't know me, you know this persona...understand the difference.  I feed off of what everyone says and does here, and that's that.  What cornfused did compromised the integrity of the game as it affected many other facets/areas of it as well, he's unaccountable and unapologetic, thus I'm going to spout my opinion and whether you like it or not, I will say it how I say it, because at the heart of the issue, I'm very passionate about this and about the game maintaining ethical and fairness standards.  This is a slap in the face at the game, and for most of you to act like this is no big deal is just really taking the effing ****.  Cornfused isn't a 5 year old child with his hand caught in the cookie jar...what he did was considerably more serious than that, given the circumstances.  I'm not here to make friends, so if calling cornfused unethical and detrimental to the game (which he is, calling a spade a spade) makes you not like me more and in turn causes you tu turn even MORE against my argument (which I think is happening), then that's what happens.  You simply refuse to acknowledge or recognize my points because you don't like how I "spit" it.  Tough.  Like I said, you'll always get what you want out of me, and that's the truth.  Take care.

Once you all finally just accept me as I am instead of trying to change me all the time, you'll realize just how rosy things can be.  Until then, we'll always be beating our heads against the wall, and moreso you than me, because I don't mind a good argument...I don't hate anyone here.

For what it is worth colonels, I agree with the crux of your argument. Hitting rescind scholarship is a MISCLICK; hitting that you agree with the decision is a MISTAKE. Hopefully (and I didn't read the entire post), the player wasn't returned; although knowing WIS he was.

What I really see here is someone who has become so familiar with the game that every click is automatic. Maybe a mistake like this will wake people up and have them look over everything they do.
