I dislike the following:
2. Determine a better method of showing a player's ratings potential beyond the current "Player Thoughts" inbox message.
4. Look into the draft early entry process to make it more fair and more predictable
6. Adjust GPA logic to place more weight on study hall minutes and reduce randomness
We need more variance, not less. In real life, from a coach's perspective, random chance has a huge effect on all of these things. Why eliminate it? It's fun. I wish they'd bring back injuries too.
Oh, and put more variance into walk-on quality (that is, make some of them playable)
I don't feel anything is wrong with the early entry process. I believe it would be a mistake to make it much more predictable in terms of having the highest rated players always declare early. It would be a major mistake to introduce this change. The Elite teams would basically never have a chance to win national titles because all their top recruits would ALWAYS declare early.
It is easy to say that this is the case in real life. But, what people are forgetting is that it is still very difficult to have major impact Freshman and Sophomores in HD. I would agree with this change if they made IQ less critical to player performance. However, to penalize all the top teams significantly by taking their top players every year is a recipe for disaster.
Please keep the early entry process as is in terms of who declares early. Maybe they can make the personality tests much cheaper (around $100), so coaches can better predict the chances of their recruits declaring early. It would be an awful idea to make the process more predictable simply based on player ratings.
