Whatever season he shoots 56% from the field and has 40% creb is a beastly season... I don't care if he doesn't play defense - those numbers are beyond solid.

mikee asked and I'm bored so here goes.

20) mikee1 - Magic Johnson, Shawn Marion, Bob McAdoo, Clyde Drexer, Dale Davis, Stephen Curry, Andris Biedrins

Ah... the old aggregate rebounding approach.  Magic, Glide & Matrix are all excellent rebounders for their positions, but in the funk52, I feel like you still need that dominant boardlord in addition to strong boarders all around.  I don't see that on your squad.  McAdoo is far from it... and Davis gives you good offensive boards but not as good on the defensive side as you really need here.  Still, it's a strong aggregate total, so that'll help you, but in the individual matchups, you'll end up losing some battles, maybe even at key times (like in the waning minutes of the game).  Turnover wise... Matrix is godly when it comes to not turning the ball over... but Magic kind of erases that.  Glide & Mac won't kill you, so you're about even as far as I'd say when it comes to the possession battle.

Now to the shooting struggle... Magic is solid and gives you some threes.  Glide is solid and gives you some threes.  Marion is outstanding and... gives you some threes.  Mac is solid.  Davis is solid - not that he'll take many shots on this squad - and your bench guys are off the chart.  Curry was the perfect pick here (and I simultaneously hate you for it because he was the guy I planned to rotate in my backcourt).  You've got plenty of assists between Magic & Glide, so that'll help boost an already strong start for efg%.  Defensively - again, you're solid.  You're not sporting all-time defenders at each position, but you're well above average.  I definitely see you winning the shooting struggle - you'll shoot a better percentage than your opponents (and get a lot of threes, which means extra points).

X-Factor (fouls)... You're low on fouls.  That's good.  No... that's actually great.  As for drawing fouls?  Mac isn't that great at it, but Magic sure is.  Glide's not bad.  Matrix is terrible.  Seeing as how they're all tier 3 usage, I'd say you're solid.  You're not gonna set the world on fire by getting to the line a ton, but you won't be at the bottom of the pack, either.  And seeing how little  you foul, you definitely win this factor.

Lot of usage (16.5 or 17 points in your SL)... but not so much that you've wasted money or are drawing away from one guy's efficiency.

All in all - A solid, solid team and likely a playoff squad.

seems everybody waited too long to pull the trigger on mcadoo. after all the "famous" bigs get drafted, mcadoo is always left in the same group as: kevin willis, clifford ray, dalembert, noah, etc. and i don't know why this happens. i'd rather have mcadoo than jerry lucas, garnett, mutombo, and others who are drafted before him. i always look closely at mcadoo early in the draft if i do not have a warhorse already on the team. this year, i had kobe and gilmore, and didn't need another tier 2 scorer. but mac brings decent def (70-something) 54% fg, fta's, ftm's, and oreb% almost at the 10 level. this guy flat out plays, and paired with marion's 22% usage, and magic's top season, this is a 3-headed hydra! no way could you corral 3 of these scorers... then mikee drafts drexler, who i love in both the odl and 52 mil league, but not on this team. though dh likes this draft choice, i do not. drexler has all high usage seasons in the mid to high 20's,  and though mac is 25%, magic 22% and marrion at 22%, i feel drexler's need for the ball creates a slight imbalance and incongruity on this very good team. this is why i love those 18-19% usage guys like ersan and frazier and others. just a couple of usage points difference  sometimes really brings the offense together. clyde will create a slight imbalace here. yeah, many evaluators will disagree with what i say about clyde, but watch, mikee, what happens this season. you'll be a .500-.525 team and will struggle to get to the dance. and guess who suffers the most with this imbalance, the guy we all wanted, mcadoo. on paper, this is a terrific looking team, and who doesn't like dale davis, curry and biedrins as back ups. excellent choices there! however, if you can find a low usage drexler season, and i don't know if there are any, i think i'd find a way to get that version of him on your team. now, for the good news, if you can overlook marion's top season, and look closely at that 8 mil season where marion's usage is 19% (80-some 3's), then drexler fits like a glove using a mid-20% season with lots of 3's, and i believe, changes the make-up and chemistry just enough to make these 4 working parts, work. davis and biedrins play quietly and efficiently as a solid supporting cast. this can be a very lethal team if put together correctly. it's a jigsaw puzzle, but if fits, you give us fits. could be 41-41, or could be 50-32.  good luck, hombre.

18) katernberg - Hakeem Olajuwon, Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace, Willis Reed, Josh Smith, Charlie Ward, Oliver Miller

this team has a lot of talent, a lot of potential and a lot of unanswered questions. for one, how will hakeem and willis reed play together. they both are foul prone, yet offensively efficient, yet need the ball, but so does josh smith and deron williams. there's a usage problem here, and the guy with the low usage is not a starter. yet, even with a usage problem, i think most of the usage lies in the fta's, yet josh smith seems to be the odd man out. if i were you kat, i would drastically reduce josh smith's role and make charlie's role increase. go with ward's top season, and he will help elevate the 4 usage men's games. smith could become a leading vote getter for the 6th man award. i think this is a good supporting cast for the dream, of whom (unlike most) a fan of in the 52 mil league. the dream has a bad reputation for underperforming, but with deron, wallace and ward's support, he and reed could form a dynamic 1-2 punch. if wallace's top season is used (which it should be), then wallace's 20% dreb would fit nicely at the no.3 while providing a few 3's at that spot. with two dishmen, everyone will benefit, and deron will become a terrific 3rd option. i actually like this team if ward starts, but if he doesn't, you'll be dropping anchor way out to sea, and the anchor will turn the ship over in rough seas... and this league is full of dangerous waves... rogue waves! also, if ward starts, you'll have more 3's from the starting cast, and reed does produce orebs, unlike hakeem, so, your 2nd chances will be more productive. there's not much else to say, except i agree with dh, deron went a bit too early since pg is an easier position to fill than a warhorse sg, or a dynamic SF, which this team could have used instead of a wiley pg. i love deron williams, but he's a 3rd rounder at best, especially since penny, frazier, brandon, kevin johnson and others would have been available in the 3 and 4th rounds. you have always built strange teams, and lately, they have been winners, so, maybe i am not seeing what you're seeing. but if you make smith's role full time, i see 39-43... but if ward starts, i see 46-36. good luck, kat.
