WifS seems to be waiting for us to do that. Soooooooooo.......we've got us a witch hunt. Don't like a user? Check his roster. Can't compete with a team? Check their roster. Yay!

I am not going to do that unless I see something bizarre.

Plenty will. Guarantee my rosters have been checked by forum haters.
7/12/2017 10:35 AM
I'd say just about everyone who posts on the forums has been checked by someone.

no one else outside the forums would even know about it. But there are plenty of lurkers and multiple IDs that no one knows about (spuds 5 alt IDs also come to mind)

Unlikely. Until the very end, thewizard17 was being excused because it was WifS' fault.
7/12/2017 10:44 AM
It's not WIfS fault. Bath showed something really interesting about RS and what it is intended to do. If you reapply the RS, the answer will still be no, but you could also lose some WE... Unless you know better, you apply the RS once.

Yes it is. It's their product and it had a flaw.

That said, it's up to us to determine whether to:
1. Report it
2. Quietly abuse it
3. Ignore it

A few morally suspect users chose #2. Most of us did #3. And a few chose #1.

Programming is never perfect. Any online games have patches where they correct glitches and stuff. But they are not Blizzard or companies that makes millions. Staff is shorter to say the least.

If you buy a hamburger and it makes you sick because of contaminated meat, is it the fault of the place that sold it to you? Would it be their fault if you knew you were buying a bad hamburger.

They're selling a product. It's contaminated. It's their fault.

I forget who was playing lawyer in your thread but I bet they could make a case that anyone who was harmed by thewizard17's actions could sue for damages(in the real world as it would be stupid to do so for a dollar in HD world). They would sue WifS, for selling a flawed product, and thewiz for exploiting the flaw. Hell, in Lawyerland, they would also sue anyone who knew about it and didn't report it.

So you're saying that since its WIS fault then no punishment is warranted?
7/12/2017 12:33 PM
I think they need to reset his players or delete them if they can't put them at what they should be.

Not really but I would understand it.

If your ATM spits out a grand while you have $3.75 in your account, I'm pretty sure you can be prosecuted for taking that extra $996.25. I'm not sure to what extent but you don't walk away unscathed. Maybe you just have to make restitution. It's not your fault that the machine malfunctioned, you just tried to take advantage of it.

I'm not sure what would constitute restitution in this case. However, as I said, it could certainly be argued that others were harmed. Not so much with the broke *** ATM.

Yeah, some other teams were harmed by it. And if you do not reset the players, he will certainly be a top 4 team in Phelan next season, maybe win the whole thing. He is only losing a senior and his WE thing mostly affected his frosh.
