Given my selection of the Clips, I should have asked this question first:  can we use players who are playing for the team in the current season, even though there aren't any seasons in the WIS database?   The obvious reason I'm asking this question is to determine if I can slot Chris Paul as my starting PG.

yes you may use Chris Paul - anyone who has played even a minute for the team as per bballref.com is eligible

I'm willing to share my knowledge of time travel with twenty three other competent owners. This league will be an all-time franchise league where you can use any season of any player who played in at least one game for your team. You can use any season of that player, regardless if the season you choose to use was with your franchise or not. All seasons of your franchise (you can use Rasheed Wallace for the Boston since he signed there this off-season) are available.

(just to show I'm not being arbitrary - also we should probably update the leader post)

Note the BBR line there.  The sim says Billups played for Orlando.  He signed there yet didn't play a single minute.  So you *shocker* can't rely on WIS to even get things right like players playing on the correct teams!
