Phelan Shootout XVI (Season 22) Topic

Naturally. I'm rooting for an all shootout Final 4 one of these seasons. That would be something to see.

That would surely be an awesome accomplishment to say the least.

Season 22 Postseason Berths:

National Tournament
Curry- West #1
Rockford- East #2
William Paterson- South #3
Eastern- East #3
Rowan- West #9
U.S. Coast Guard- Midwest #14
Averett- South #15
Blackburn- Midwest #15

Waitlist Teams in National Tournament
Principia- East #1
W. Connecticut St.- East #10

Almost 100% inclusion, as only Maryville- St. Louis failed to make the postseason from Season 22 participants and waitlist teams. Job well done! Best of luck to everyone as we kick off the second season!!

Well, I guess I looked like a number two team to someone.<C>

Oh, R0ckford. . .now we BOTH have to win all our games to make the finals so I can have a rematch, dangit! I want my rematch!!!<G>

Are you sure you got the regions right? Looking at it, ECSU and Eastern are in my brackett in the west.

I'll try and do my part. Though the last time I made a title game I lost. So hopefully karma will be on my side this time.

I'm surprised my team managed this well. Not only did I have to play all the elite teams in the shootout. My conference managed to put in a 2,3,5 and 6 seed into the NT. If nothing else we should see some good recruiting money for the off season.

Anyway, Good luck everyone.

Rowan,m we have a NT rematch!

4 teams advance to the Sweet 16.

Curry-Rowan 2OT's in the 2nd round was a hell of a game.

I managed to come back from being 17 down with 12:30 to go to pull my 2nd round win off. I have to play a VERY tough #3 Catholic team in the Sweet 16.

Good luck to everyone still alive!!

Perhaps I should give up on CUrry. . if I am not going to win this year, with this team, I never will.

(Sigh) Extremely disappointing exiting in the second round.

Good game from ROwan. . .

You'll be fine. Just keep building those tough teams and you are bound to get through eventually. Atleast that is what I keep telling myself.

Either way, I may be joining you on the sidelines soon, I just implemented a bit of a risky gameplanning strategy. Should be interesting to see how it plays out. Just hoping to avert disaster.

I thought I had a pretty good team this year, and I thought I did last year, but apparently its a talented team that just isn't able to win when it actually counts. . .

Thanks Reddevil. Failed to bring it home in my first Title game. Glad I pulled it off this time.

I'm pleased to be able to bring the Championship to the Phelan Shootout.
