I can easily cover that spread.

Seems like my guys are playing a lot more minutes than I expected... I have all my guys set to fairly fresh or getting tired, and the starters all played 35 or more minutes. Guess i should switch back to target minutes if I want to spread the minutes around.

sounds good.

Exactly synced. Which is only going to make Smith even less popular.

I hope the players still practice during this delay - mine could use it.

22 fouls in a half is kinda high. But a low IQ team running fast break and full court press should average close to 50 something fouls and TOs combined. I dont care how athletic or quick they are.

Of all the defenses IQ should be the most important for press and fast break. Your taking the most chances in these 2 and pushing the tempo on both.

In real life a press takes all 5 guys. If one guy doesnt know what he is doing its a layup or a 2 on 1 fastbreak in college.

If my speed and Ath is competative with urs and my IQ is high I should kill ur press no matter what ur IQ is. Just look at how teams play as they get older. Junior High a press just kills team and most teams play it-90% part of game plans. High School teams use it to speed up games or if someones guards are in foul trouble or weak-75% percent part of game plans. In college D3 about 50%, D2 40%, D1 25%. NBA is almost 0%.

Pitino and Calapari and the guy from Loyola Marimount tried it in the NBA and got waxed and dropped it quick.

So I believe if with out a doubt that if my team is competative with u on speed and athletic and I have a high IQ and u low I should shoot foul shots and lay ups all day. Because it is such a risk to press. U have to be alot athletic and quicker then me if my IQ is high.

With everybody set to fairly fresh on my team that starters with 90+ stamina got 27, 28, and 29 minutes. I'm looking for a more specific minute distro for my promises I made to my recruits so I'm testing out the so-called "new and improved" target minutes system in the second exhibition game tomorrow.

Maybe the slowdown caused it, but my guys were never more tired than blue. I think they should keep running exhibition games.

I agree cappel...if they can't they can't, but I for one am nervous about running a beta test with my 1 good team. I don't want to get fired cause I didn't shoot enough 3s or too few 3s.

Right now it seems like chucking a ton of 3s is the best offensive strategy, and playing anything but press is a good idea on defense.

I kind of agree VD. I remember several key matchups with a conference rival who pressed, and we had equal teams, in just about every rating. I consistently committed more fouls then he did, just cause A level press IQs = low foul output, lower than even a A IQ man team would have.

I played a game against a +1, m2m defense where I set all of my perimeter guys to -1 and bigs to -2, and my team took 25 3p's (including several guys who took 4 of their 6 shots from 3p).
In the old engine, we would've taken single digits 3p's as a team.

Basically means you are forced to set a perimeter guy to -2 if you don't want him to take a majority of his shots from 3p range. Definitely not good, imo.
+1

Two of my players were set on a +1 3p frequency and they both ended up with 10+ shots from behind the arc against a 0/+1 zone. I rarely got that many 3pt attempts even when I had my 3pt frequency on +2 in the old engine

I had just the opposite. In the exhibition season, I like to set my guards and SF's to +1 and +2 on 3 point shooting to get a feel for who my best shooters are. I also dont set a distribution percentage so I can see how well the players mesh together, so no one player should have been shooting considerably more than any other player. In the 1st game my team took 11 3-pointers and over half of those were from one player. I was hoping that each of them would have taken at least 2 or 3, so I wasnt able to get the data I was hoping to get.

wish we could play some more exhibition games while we wait

If you set 0 for all distribution then 3 point setting is also automatically 0 regardless of what you set it to.
