Greenwell doesn't have lots of problems.  We have a few new guys that need to learn a few things is all, and they will.  As reiterated earlier, one of those things is it's Rangers world.

Maybe some day I will join a world near you and make that Rangers world too!

Looks like Greenwell has lots of problems.  Always has, always will.  Enjoy your 'tard world.

No problems in rangers world, not after he took his problems to the public forum to drag his league through the mud. All is good now. Ranger why don't you post your latest trade I just woke up to.

Don't be mad because YOU admitted you offer **** deals in hopes of them getting accepted.   It's just not an acceptable practice in most(i.e. good) worlds.

Oh stevehoggett you mean the one you voiced in WC that should be vetoed because I was trade raping someone and then other players in the world actually WC'd that I had probably given up too much?  I did give up more than I should/could have but I did that to make sure the trade went through, I didn't want or need the other guy waffling over it.  But if anything it was a little lopsided on my side.

Talking about that one genius?  I think you have established already your experience in this game.

Anyone that always offers completely weighted deals (if there ever is one, which I doubt) would not be trading very much and would not be making their team that much better.  There are so many different facets to a trade it is really not worth dissecting, one players knee jerk reaction to a deal may be that it is rape, while looking closer at the motivations of it wouldn't.

Do I every purposefully look for and exploit someone's idiocy in the game for a trade?  Never have.  I have refused obviously silly trades offered to me.  But do I try to get the better of a trade, using everything at my fingertips?  Hell yes, and only an idiot wouldn't.  It is a fine, very fine line between taking total advantage of someone in trades, and getting the better of them.  Some people would draw the "crossing the line" in different spots than others.

I never set out to take advantage of anyone, but I try to take advantage of everyone.  I play this game to build the best team I can and then win.  You can play it to continue showing your integrity if you want, building your own set of rules that don't exist within the framework of the game if you want too....but I play to win.  I play by the rules, have never broken one of them, but I play to win.

When you make statements like "If you accepted a crappy deal I offer, it's on you", you create a perception.   Don't blame me for that perception.  When you claim you have a "stacked" team built thru trades, you create a perception.  Don't blame me for that one either.

If you make statements and people accept what you say to be true, it's on you.

The biggest issue anyone would have regarding trade rape is making an obvious unbalanced trade with a brand new owner. In the best worlds, those deals would get vetoed. In many, many worlds they can never get enough owners to vote on a deal to veto it. Trade raping a newb has implications greater than getting over on a deal. The new owner fails, becomes disinterested, and abandons the team, and there is one more garbage team to fill..and one less customer for HBD. It happens.

I almost never trade with a brand new owner..if I do I make sure that its obviously skewed in their favor by throwing in a good prospect that just doesnt fit my team. I have actually countered a trade with a newbie by throwing in another serviceable player.

Hi Tec.

Good owners tend to ask themselves "What does this do to the world?" when making moves.    If your team becomes too good, you'll have more trouble finding owners willing to bother playing against it.   If you decimate another team, you'll have trouble finding owners to take that team.    "I play to win" has many shades.

I play to win also.  But I don't play Madden on Rookie and I recognize that I need 32 owners to fill a world.

Perceptions can be skewed.  My team in this world is stacked/very good, but also not unbeatable, and arguably no better than the top 4 or so.  And they are not a revolving door of talent either.  Yes I carefully selected players that fit the vision and through time built a solid team (via trade, draft, IFA) but they only have a finite amount of time to be good together.  Sooner or later (probably starting in about three seasons) great players will start to leave via free agency and the team will naturally diminish and I will have to make astute moves in the draft to make up for the talent lost.

The only way I have seen in this game to keep the talent coming is to trade rape people by offering overpriced veterans for one great young guy, keeping the payroll perpetually low and stacking your deck with IFA picks.  I have been in a world with a guy like that and got out, as he won 125 games every year and his AA team would have won 90 in the ML.  That is not the way I play.
