When reading the play by play, do you look too much into it or is it just the engine describing what was simmed and jumbling everything together?
In this case, (Not my teams) this happened last night in the DI National Tournament in RUPP in a really great game - reading through the PBP however I came across this.
Against a -5 Man to Man defense, the SF blocked the 3 of a PG (1 vs 3?) ... I could see this scenario in a 3-2 zone. However, what is the SF doing playing a PG in a man to man defense? The PG wasn't being double teamed, and a -5 in man to man would have me believe the SF would be sagging deep.
*"Michael Dukes knocks away the 3 by Richard Barry"*
Was the SF guarding the other SF and in the motion offense and the offensive SF was close to the PG allowing the Defensive SF to block the shot?
Or, did it just sim this way? And in the sim, the PG just missed the shot - and at some point the SF got a block and the PBP just made it window dressing by lumping the two together in the same possession in OT?
