Going into this season I anticipated that my Methodist program would once again be fighting just to make it into the tournament (we actually haven't been in 7 seasons). As of now, 19 games into the season, we'd be a 1-seed. Are these guys massively overperforming, or did I significantly underrate them? Or some of each? We've beaten some very good teams, but also lost to a sim. Probably a result of the fact that what we do extremely well is one of the most random factors in the game. As a team we're in the top 25 in D3 Tark at 2 things, and they're both turnovers.
In a related question, I just noticed that when I adjusted my distro for this season I left Thornton and Mellor at -1 (Jagger is also at -1 with 73 PER, but I think I like him there, he's very effective inside). I'm a little hesitant to make a change because A) my offense as a whole has been very efficient for having the #7 SOS and B) maybe the reason the team is overperforming my expectations is because my expectations are built on some poor coaching tendencies. That said, my natural inclination at this point would be to shift both Mellor and Thornton to 0 3 pt. tendency. Thoughts?
