ineligibles after juco yr Topic

I have a question... if you sign an ineligible and he decides to go juco, will you have an advantage recruiting him from the Juco the following yr?

Thanks for the help

Yes, but its random which school the player will end up attending, so you can get really screwed if he moves across the country.  I've heard people say that the recruiting value carryover can be as much as 50%

I don't know about carryover percentages, but I just re-recruited a player on my DII team.  Last year I put very little effort into the guy (about $1200) and he went Juco.  As a four year player he was unranked, but as a three year player he was the 173 ranked point guard and was now about 500 miles from my campus.  Even though the distance was well outside the 70 mile range and he was ranked, he was still able to be recruited directly without any effort to pull him down.  I was able to sign him for $135 (scholarship, letter, phone call, and then a call right before signings).

you get carryover - I think 50% of the effort.

BUT, his juco may be far away from you in which case you will have a hard time doing more effort
