Is there momentum in HD? Topic

This may seem like a dumb question, but is there momentum within HD games and is there momentum from game to game?

I ask, because I am just losing it with my Fayeteville State team. It's probably a team that should sneak into the tournament, but it shouldnt be nearly as bad as it is performing. I've had some ok wins, with the highest being on the road at the 22nd RPI team. That being said, I've lost my last three games, two to SIM coached crap teams. I beat two of these teams by 24 and 26 points this year (one a high prestige Bowie St) team and used the same game plans against Simmy and didnt put up a fight.

My Bentley team seems to overachieve but my Fayeteville team is stinking it up down the stretch. Am I just a horrible coach or is it possible for a team to lose momentum. I should of beaten some of the bad teams I played earlier in the year as well...

I know this seems novice, and it is. Any advice would be appreciated...

How goes it aperi?  I don't think there is momentum.  I think I have read something that is quite the opposite.  I remember reading that the engine tends to balance things out, at least within a game.  If a guy shoots well below his average in the first half it is likely he shoots lights out in the second half.

Anyway, about Fayeteville....looks like you got a bad roll of the dice against Virginia St.. I noticed that the vast majority of your losses are on the road and obviously the last one was on a neutral court.  I only took a quick glance, but what stood out to me is that you don't let Pruneda shoot enough threes.  I know he shoots well from the line, but he is shooting nearly 50% from three.  Unless teams are playing you heavy plus I'd let him shoot away, especially against SimAi press teams!

Momentum seems like another one of those real life factors that wouldn't translate well into the game.  If it existed, I think you would see a flood of teams scheduling super soft non-conf games to start the year 10-0 and maximize momentum heading into conference play (at least thats what I would do).  If they were to implement something like momentum, I think they would have to do it at a player level where individual players would go on hot or cold streaks, and have that reflected in their attributes.  Again, I don't think this would translate well and the game is probably better off without it.

Thanks Milwood. I tried to keep a balanced offense, plus, Pruneda didnt have a pristine 3 pt fg % when I let him shoot more. Maybe its momentum, probably its poor coaching. But this team with a better gameplan should have been a low NT team. Thanks for the advice.
