Two questions about player fatigue.

First, how much does it affect performance?  Does it just increase the chances of getting hurt or does it also affect actual performance?

Second, do different positions have different affects of how much fatigue a player obtains?  IE if I play a catcher at 1B every so often does it give him less fatigue.

Thanks.

Nobody is answering because nobody has a perfect answer, really just anecdotal. It would take a long time to do a proper scientific study to confirm anything, but in my experience I would say fatigue does affect performance, and probably enough to be noticeable. Not drastic mind you, but not quite inconsequential. Ditto with injury chances. Lastly DHs seem to lose energy equally as much as SSs or any other position player as silly as that may seem.

First, not sure.   I seem to do quite well at the close of the season.   All my guys are usually 100% because I rest them during the year.  Not so much with my opponents but that's purely anecdotal.    I've found, in the minor leagues, that players less than 98% seem to get injured more frequently.

Second, yes.   The tougher defensive positions fatigue faster.   Not a great deal but a player may be able to catch 120 or DH 130(as an estimate).

Thanks to both of you.
