I haven't been following the overall team rating thing for very long, but the last seasons I've had the highest rated team in Tark so natually I started paying attention a bit more. This past season I finished up with an 865 overall and the only team I've seen come close to that rating is BC in Allen who just won a title with an 863 team (also that team is definitely better than mine!).

So I was wondering has anybody seen a higher rated team than 865?

Well I can't paste the link b/c it happened in Season 53 in Rupp (we're in Season 69 now, but I keep records), but my Illinois team finished with an 895 team rating that year (began at 866).  I was fortunate enough to not have any EE's following the prior season, otherwise those ratings wouldn't have been so high.  And no, I didn't win an NT that year, as we lost to an essentially equally talented (but lower OVR rating) Florida team that year by 1 in the NT title game.  I had 6 kids drafted following that season.

Can't say I've ever seen a team greater than 895. I once saw a team that was about 880 once. But 895 is probably hard to top. At least in the potential era. 

895 almost seems unimaginable. I'll be shocked if another team gets to that point again. Just for me to get to 865 it took UNC to not have an EE for the first time in over 20 seasons and me returning my entire roster. I could see it being a bit more possible before Seble adjusted the EE logic that favored bigs heavily in the both leaving early and being drafted highest. But now that guards are just as likely to leave early as bigs are you can't really stack up on guards and have 950 rated guards stay 4 years.

agree kmason, it likely won't ever happen again.  I did benefit from having 3 stud guards return that were all over 900, including one at 975.
