Some of my pitchers seem to have a higher walk rate than their career norm is there a way in manager setting or something to help lower it?

Unless your intentional walk setting is at aggressive, no. Not that I'm aware of anyway. Walk rate tends to be tied directly to a pitcher's control rating. If your pitchers are older, their control has likely dropped from past seasons. Also, a jump from the NL to the AL can have a slight impact as well, since the DH rule gives the AL teams better overall lineups than the NL teams.
