If a player has an existing injury and is not on the DL, can they be traded?

I know players on the DL can't be traded.  And I think I've had a deal cancelled by the machine because of an injury between the time the deal was proposed and approved.

Pretty sure any injury that extends beyond 5 days voids a deal.

 Thanks, Mike. I figure I'll test it.  Cancelled the offer and resubmitted it with the player injured at the time of the of the offer and not on the DL.  He's hurt for more than 5 days.

Guess I'll know in a day or 2. I'll post the results here.

Mike was right.

Correspondence:  This is to inform you that the proposed player trade was cancelled. One or more players is on the Disabled List or has a prolonged injury of more than 5 days. TRADE FAILED.
