It's a great game.  Look at the other thread.  For the most part, the things we want are improvements, not fixes.  I like improvements as much as the next guy, but come on.
What do you mean by "but come on"? It should be expected that consumers demand improvement when there is opportunity. Just because something is already good does not mean it should stop looking for ways to improve. To suggest that complacency is the way to go is ludicrous.

Maybe there is a large group of people that have been playing this game for a long time that don't want the change, but in the end it's for the better. Not wanting change is like old people that refuse to adjust to new technology.

If improvements were made and there was a significant marketing push, perhaps there would be less than 200+ jobs available at DIII in every single world. I could come up with countless ways to improve this game, but think they would be shot down by every seasoned and stubborn member or go unheard by any type of developer  or administrator.
I didn't suggest that complacency is the way to go.  I suggested that OP is going overboard with his FIRE SEBLE bullshit.

So what I mean by "but come on" is, "Come on, get over yourself, we all want improvements but you're being a dick about it for no reason."

A large group of people that don't want what change?  What are you even talking about?  Nobody here is just plain against change.

This forum thread is an attempt to address this exact issue.

http://www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx?TopicID=473922&TopicsTimeframe=30

By offering specific ideas for improvement, with some consensus amongst the coaches, instead of just complaining about the lack of change then we might not only inspire the admins to make some changes but get get meaningful ones at that.
Touche. I will compile a list of things that I think we be good improvements in the next day or two. One reason I have not yet is that I have noticed that some members tend to slam ideas rather than discussing, adjusting, and improving them.
That's the "other thread" I was referring to.  I made a suggestion myself.

Hey llamanunts the whole FIRE SEBLE comment was made as a jest to the lack of communication between seble and the development blog. Lighten up with saying it was BS. Go to work and not talk to your boss or customers for a year and see where it lands. I was simply pointing out that it had been a year since the last official communication had occurred from SEBLE.

FIRE llamanunts chant begins...LMAO!

jest
noun
noun: jest; plural noun: jests
1.
a thing said or done for amusement; a joke.

I suppose you could have meant it in jest, but it didn't come across that way.

WOW, I want his job. Getting paid to do nothing! FIRE SEBLE chant has begun...................
Way to meet your customers needs.
It is a very good/fun game; but it would be nice if Seble or someone was active once every few months.  The game still could be made quite a bit better.

I remain convinced that with even a little marketing effort, they could get a lot more participants in this game - and every added participant is almost pure profit.

Post features based on the SIM on various Fox Sports sites.  Links.  Simulations of upcoming and famous matchups

Pay some attention to the game and get existing players more excited.

Run promotions the way folks do in other markets - buy a season for a friend who is a new subscriber and get a free season for yourself or something....(but have to find a way to avoid that being used to abuse FSS like free seasons were)

Promote WIS products on fantasy sports sites - I'm thinking places like onroto and other sites that are not affiliated with any rival network - some percentage of roti geeks (like me) will want to try this

Promote HD on web sites linked to college football and basketball teams - official sites, fan boards.....cut those deals now and be ready to market in during the week or two before the NCAAs and during the NCAAs....

There is a bunch they could do with modest effort to bring in hundreds of new users - I see very little marketing effort.

I agree 100% with this. More members would give the developers more motivation, too. I feel like advertising is not particularly difficult and just takes effort, but I do not actually know since I am not a part of that industry.
