I was thinking it would be fun if there were an NBA version of the game that would have the players who were drafted from college HD and coaches had to be hired based upon their college credentials (essentially a level up from D1). Obviously it would be very difficult to do this since the NBA version would seemingly take place over a much longer season and there would be such a limited number of coaching spots. Still it would be cool. Even if the NBA game was unrelated to the college game, it would be interesting.

Just an idea. Let me know your thoughts everyone.

I had the similar idea with gridiron dynasty. To add a few games take away recruiting and just have the first day draft day. I love the idea though. But it needs to tie in with HD I believe

that would be cool. The player ratings would also have to expand beyond 100 though, otherwise you would have an NBA where everyone had extremely similar stats and abilities. 

Yeah there would have to be some type of reevaluation of player ratings based on stats, size, work ethic, potential, etc. before they went into the NBA version of the game. It would be cool to be able to sign players in the NBA that you coached in college.

Another thing to consider is that the current college HD doesn't give ages for the players. If they were to move into the NBA, age would become a big factor in determining potential, contract length, etc.

Would love to see this happen...then I truly would have no life and no money as it would all be going to WIS! LOL! 

There's virtually 0 chance of this happening, but I would be down for this all day...I'd drop 4 figures on this like a figure 4.

This has been discussed plenty of times before (I believe I started a thread about the same thing a couple years back and others had done it before that). I would love to see it happen, but it never will. With that said, I think realistically the only way they would be able to pull it off is not have a full length NBA season, or maybe run 2 NCAA seasons for every NBA season (maybe combine the 2 classes into 1 for draft purposes). As far as the draft is concerned, have the players stay as they are in NCAA where they max out in ratings etc, but have a secondary layer that is only active once they go to the draft or maybe randomly assign potential based on where the player is projected to get drafted. So for example if the you have the top 3 players in college season randomly assign potentials with a higher chance of good potentials to the top college players (kind of like the RNG for the games).

Its unrealistic to expect WIS to put in such an effort and add a huge new component to the game that only 30 people from each world would get to play.  It could never be cost effective unless they charged more for NBA seasons, which wouldn't fly.  Its a fun idea but like poncho said, it's just plain not going to happen.

I think a full season could be done if you played like 2 games per day within the HD schedule, kinda like the 2/day worlds.  This would include playing games during Conference Tourneys, the NT, and the signup period and possibly flow into the recruiting time period for the playoffs.  All you need is 1 day to draft.  It's possible...
