# Drafted Record ? Topic

My underachieving Wisconsin team just had 6 players drafted.   Would this be a record for one season?

This is more than 5 but less that 7.

I am pretty sure jakemarleys st.John's team had 9 one season.

It was 8'. It happened twice, seasons 54 & 40 in Rupp.

I assume those were in the days of the power class (ie - no class limits) ?

I don't think so. Jake had guys drafted every year, I think he averaged like 4 a year for 20 seasons. He is the Tris Speaker of HD. The best coach no one has heard of:)

I beat him once, just once.

I don't think so, drafts have been significantly more skewed to big schools since the recruit updates of a couple of years ago. I'm in my second stint at UCLA in Tark, and in 40 seasons I've only had 4 seasons that no Bruins were drafted. There are 10 seasons when 4 or more were drafted.

I cant top 7 or 8 in one year, but I have had 14 guys drafted over the span of 3 seasons.  4-5-5.

That was rough.

No, that was definitely during the class limit era. He just got totally gutted.

lwbraun at Illinois in Naismith had a 6 class (5 first, 1 second) a few seasons ago.
