Relievers pitch to strong side only Topic

Another question:

Is the SIM smart enough to make pitcher substitutions so that when I have relievers who strong on one side but pretty weak on the other it'll sub them off? For instance, McDill is significantly stronger against righities and Farrell is stronger against lefties. both have a decent amount of stamina, so I'm comfortable with McDill facing some lefties if he is facing mostly righties before getting relieved. If there are a bunch of lefties coming up though and there's a man or two on base I'd want him relieved. Will the sim sub in Farrell?

And obviously for Farrell since most batters are righties I probably don't want him in there too long despite his stamina because of his poor Vr split. I heard the Left handed specialist pitching role doesn't work properly. How do I set these guys up so they aren't facing their weak side too often?

Here's my question related to this: does anyone know if the sim looks any further ahead than the first batter up? As far as I can tell, it doesn't.

If you don't want them facing the opposite side you have to set them up as specialists, but keep in mind that'll crash their IP as the simmy sucks at using them that way, they'll get pulled as soon as the opposite handed guy comes up.
