That's the amount of competition (or more) there should be more often. Because realism.
This is HD though.
Um...true?
In the sport that HD intends to simulate, players being recruited by that many schools or more is not uncommon.
I don't mind this outlook and think Etta's common complaints are about how HD isn't a great simulation of basketball. Well, I have accepted that to a greater degree, and I think most people have because you have to to not get ****** at the game and also to begin to actually field winning teams.
Other things about this game which are a little un-realistic...teams that are highly skilled but not as athletic are really good in the NCAA tournament, but would be bottom feeders in HD. You can get ******, or you can just start to build your team to compete. I am off topic, but Etta's complaints are valid from a basketball fan point of view, just not from a gaming POV. The system is formulaic and mechanical and does not react with any intuition.
The point about recruiting realism is interesting, but only solved by getting more people signed up to play HD. I am not up in D1, but I tend to think that more people are battled for up there than in D3, where I play. The strategy for recruiting would be completely different if battling for multiple players was a regular part of a recruiting cycle and it would be really interesting to try. Perhaps the veteran coaches who regularly field teams could all agree to go into one world for one team each...if we got 300, we could fill up all of d3, and then the recruiting wars would be...as the kids say...cray cray
