Is it just me or is the Tarkanian NT seeding all out of wack? The last 4 in are an 11, 13, 13, and 16. There were other at larges who were 12s. Personally I was #34 in PR and got bumped to a 10 seed. One guy in my conference was #37 and got bumped to a 12. Seems weird.

I was trying to figure out if I would make the NT earlier today, and counted 12 bids stolen by conference tournament winners.  These guys aren't counted in the "last 4 in", and probably took up most of the 14-16 seeds.  So it would make sense that the last 4 in would be seeded around where they were.

mcott i think i mostly explained this in the big 12 CC, if you think you see any exceptions let me know, but ive watched it carefully several times and couldn't find anything broken. it all comes down to the big 12 getting lots of bids and people being shuffled as they aren't allowed to meet before the elite 8 unless absolutely necessary. this rule does not exactly follow real life, the real life rule used to be just that but they lowered the restriction anticipating the old big east would send more than 8. they still "try" to accomplish it though. in HD they will always put the top 4 in different regions and the top 8 in different half regions if at all possible. also, nobody ever gets moved up, as an action - people get moved down, and as a result, others move up. it goes 1 by 1, from top of the projection report straight on down to the bottom, trying to insert each person in the highest available slot, then 2nd highest, and so on.
