Confused about Player Rest Hierarchy Topic

I can't find an example of a DR set-up that would allow what I suggested.   But two of my worlds have roster expansion coming up and that makes for more options.   I'll check them in a few days.   I really think I recall seeing something similar to what I suggested.

No but how can you check my defensive settings?   Or were you just checking boxscores?
Just based on box scores.

Just gonna bump this up in case Mike has had a chance to follow-up.

One world has gone thru call-ups but, with more options, I've got more guys just going to the bench.   While this doesn't tell us anything about this replacement heirarchy, it does give me some insight to how I construct a 40 man roster.   Seems most of the position players not in the bigs, but on the 40, are good defensively but can't carry a BL bat.   I need to work on that.

I'll see how it plays out with my Greenberg team when the time comes but I'm willing to bet that it's constructed the same way.

That's interesting, in part because I have my 40-man used similarly... except I don't see it as a negative. That's what I want it to act as.

If I have more than 1 or (maybe) 2 guys who can really carry a big league bat but are toiling away in AAA, I see that as an inefficiency and would look to flip someone (either one of the AAA or the ML guy "blocking" him) to address some other perceived weakness.

It's good for a short-term solution for an injury, I'm big on D keeping you in games, but, for a long-term injury, it seems like you need a BL bat or two in AAA.  I don't seem to have one.  That's in part because of what you said.  If I've got a legit BL bat in AAA, he gets called up and someone is moved/demoted.

Any luck making multiple position shifts happen with only 1 D sub?

No, as I said, more options after roster expansion allowed for even less options for a move like I suggested.   I'll keep checking my boxes but it's beginning to look like that's something I imagined.
