This team is 5-1 at home and 0-3 on the road.   I know it's a very small sample size but it has me thinking about the effects of HCA ( or maybe the penalty associated with it) in relation to player IQ.   This team starts 3-4 freshmen every game with D+ and lower IQ's.

It seems that most people on the boards discount HCA as a minor factor in D2 and D3 but I am wondering if it has some sort of synergistic effect with IQ.

Just wondering, any thoughts on the topic would be appreciated.

I don't have any bigger sample, but I do remember my very first HD team, which was pretty much all freshmen and sophomores, went 11-2 on the road and 7-6 at home.

I'll give you the exact opposite effect actually. Same world - starting 4 freshmen and 1 soph, changing O/D. only 2 losses at home, 3-0 on the road. And really there is nothing to see here of significance imo.

The boxscore from that 45-30 game just hurts my eyes.

I have some video of the 17-14 2nd half.   The RL coaching staff's of Wisconsin and Penn State almost immediately emailed me asking about it.

I would agree if those teams had a better home court advantage, but at D I feel there's very little difference between a road game and neutral sight. I was talking to a fellow coach yesterday and he was talking about how bad his team has been shooting free throws lately, and he was thinking maybe home court played a role there, that would be interesting to find out.
