I asked about this before, but didn't get a lot of response.  I definitely need some help with my Methodist team in Tark before the NT starts.  Something just seems wrong.  They've had a fine season, but they've lost 3 games that I really didn't see coming.  No offense to the coaches that beat me.  But other than the Dallas loss, I gameplanned for every game, and I just didn't see losses there.  From my perspective, this team feels much better than either of my recent title teams.

If anybody is willing to exchange some thoughts with me (non-opponent-specific, of course) please send a sitemail.  I'd like someone to bounce some of my thoughts off of and see whether I'm making some fundamental errors in my gameplanning.  Maybe the team just isn't as good as I think it is.  Depth is definitely an issue.  But every starter is a plus player.  Thanks guys.

You have a HUGE reliance on 3 point attempts, when your shooters have an off night you're in trouble.

With the exception of Mount Ida game, about half your shots came from 3 in those losses.

I didn't want to agree with Sitenavy (nothing personal just wanted a different opinion to offer) but I think he is right. Before I looked at your team I just figured you were letting your guys shoot threes because they were elite perimeter guys, but they're not. I would back off on the three point attempts, especially with Kemp since he is the best free throw shooter of your three starters that shoot threes.

In at least a couple of the losses you were playing a plus defense when playing 0 or even negative probably would have produced better results.

I probably should have looked more closely. These were just my initial impressions. But to be fair all of your losses were to decent or very good teams

Kemp has 1 LP and only 65 BH at the 1.  He's not a 2-point scorer, even with great FT shooting.

Yeah but if I'm not mistaken you can still be an effective two point shooter with good perimeter and less than 10 low post. They wont get fouled a ton but they'll probably shoot for a higher percentage. For instance Kemp and Howell on your team actually make about 50% of their non-threes but are both below 40% from 3 where a majority of their shots are coming from.

Yeah.  Somewhat over 50%, actually.  But if they aren't getting fouled that often, 40% from 3 is still better than 50% from 2.

I would maybe think about giving Hasegawa more touches because he is a stud is scoring very efficiently on what he is getting now.
