I'm considering a trade for Pitcher
Jamie Jacobs. With his $12M price tag for the next 3.5 seasons and at age 33 I am concerned about his retention of value in years 3 and 4 (ages 35 & 36) of his contract. Of particular concern is his patience rating. I don't remember seeing a pitcher with zero patience before and have no idea how this will affect his value and performance.
This guy could really help me now and I have a lot of low salaried players to offset his high paycheck now and in the future . But I don't want to make a move that will leave me regretting his acquisition.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
