How accurate is it and does it update every time the player has 'changed his mind'?
Or should I mostly be focused on what he says in the messages?

It is completely accurate, and updates twice a day.  The messages can be kind of ambiguous, so I find the WOTS to be much more helpful.

Also, when there are more than one team mentioned, the team that is mentioned first is always winning the battle.  For example, in the message "Our sources believe that he's struggling between Team A and Team B", Team A is winning the battle.

Ok so it's completely possible you could be behind in one update but then take the lead and get the commit before a second update goes out?

Oh yeah for sure, it only updates every 12 hours 2:00 am/pm (eastern time zone).  If you are behind at 2:00, you could easily go ahead at the 5:00 cycle and have them sign at 8:00 or 11:00.

Awesome, I've been behind on it since the 2pm update and wondering why all my effort since then hadn't budged it at all.

If you read the message carefully...it says"as of so and so time, the recruit is considering so and so teams"if the time on the message hasn't changed.....it's the same old message.

This is an elementary mistake, one that I've made.....make sure you actually offered a scholarship.  You can't win a battle without it

Can anyone else verify this?  I always thought it was random.

yes. the list on the left is random, wots is not.

You learn something new every day. I've been playing this game for years and I never knew that the order of the WOTS message indicated which team was leading. That certainly makes it easier to decipher some of those scholarship messages that you think are ahead/behind but you aren't quite sure.
