I have a few guys on my D2 team that are losing a few points of work ethic due to low playing time (both are juniors).

Does anyone know the risk of transfer?  I'd like to hold on to them.

So far, no email complaints from them - which I would guess would happen if I am in danger of them leaving.

If they're not complaining then there is no risk.  

If they complain for minutes and you ignore it there's still a chance they'll stay anyway. 

I can't recall ever having a player leave for playing time, unless I was breaking a recruiting promise. 

I've actively tried to make players transfer like that in the past, and they dropped WE, sent angry emails, and still stayed.  Again that's only for players I did NOT promise anything.

Limestone?  It's too early to get a complaint from a player.  If they're going to complain, you'll hear from them sometime around the end of non-con.

Yes - Limestone - there are 2 guys (Vick and Brown) that have lost 2 WE points each.  No, they have not complained yet via email, but just wondered if they will....

No recruiting promises either (they've both been around for awhile)

They will complain, but it's a toss up whether they go in my experience.  Some guys will just drop 3 or 4 points over the course of the year, some will drop 15 or more.  The more they lose the more likely they are to leave, but they could always stay or always go.

If they've lost the second point of WE, they will email you shortly. They will continue to lose more WE if you continue to not play them.

I have had 1 person actually leave my roster due to a lack of playing time that did not involve a broken promise. It has been a number of seasons, but as I recall, he was asking for 14ish per game and was getting barely half that. Like killbatman, I have had kids that I *wanted* to have leave and that I intentionally tried to irritate to the point of leaving the team. Never worked.

You could tell them that Chris Mack is considering taking over the coaching at the school they are out...they will definitely transfer!
