Here's a guy who seems to under-produce in each and every season. He has offensive #'s of 82-74-69-60-68. I know they aren't great, but they are decent. In three seasons he's had 780 AB's and has a slash line of .208-.275-.350. I would expect him in the .265-.325-.425 area.
I know that 780 AB's is a relatively small sample, but he's had terrible numbers in each partial season. And his vL #'s are only .190-.256-.309!
Weirdness. I've begun to wonder if guys with those kinds of numbers are weaker than they appear. I'be had good mashing luck with guys who have Contact in the 72-75 range and Power in the 82-85 range and vR from 60-62. But guys with Contact around 82 and Power around 74 seem to need Splits in the mid 70's to produce.
Anyway, do you guys find numbers like this to be somewhat frustrating?
